In the heart of the village of Nemi (RM)
It is, by tradition, a point of reference for hospitality in the Castelli Romani, born as Antica Trattoria de Sanctis and guest house in 1816, it continues its activity over the years transforming itself, in 2012, into 'Albergo Diffuso', in order to combine its aptitude for hospitality with a more targeted enhancement of the Borgo di Nemi that hosts it.
The Albergo Diffuso Locanda Lo Specchio di Diana promotes a philosophy of hospitality and tourist development of the area that pays attention to the culture of the places and, at the same time, is open to innovations. In fact, we believe that the project to enhance a territory is the result of a balance between appealing to the identity and characteristics of the territory and attention to the needs of the demand.
Our Suites
The suites are born from the renovation and reconversion of old apartments and rooms, scattered among the streets and alleys of the ancient village, which in the past belonged to the old inhabitants of the place. We wanted to preserve the memory of these people and their homes and for this reason in the renovation work we wanted to respect the original structure and style, enhancing the most characteristic artistic and architectural elements, such as the ancient load-bearing wall with stone exposed, the ceiling with wooden beams, the stone fireplace and the natural wall in volcanic rock.
The very names of the rooms evoke their own characteristics or those of the place: "Il Rifugio", "Pietra Antica", "Vulcano", "Le Tre Lune", "Borgo Antico", "Lo Specchio di Diana", "Il Castello", "Il Giardino di Diana". They are all lodgings that offer their guests comfort, relaxation and romance, in an authentic environment with a local flavour.
THE RESTAURANT
A full-service restaurant is available on site for lunch and dinner daily.
Breakfast is not offered but we have an agreement with a nearby bar
which offers a 10% discount to our customers if they consume it at the table.
